Welcome Spring with The Gypsy Chicks of Fortville

We're In Fashion Love!

Did you catch our January post on Fortville's The Gypsy Chicks? If not click here and catch up. We are in love with this unique boutique on Fortville's Main Street! We adore that they carry pieces for every shape and size and make you feel like a super star diva each and every time you visit! Ashley and I recently had the pleasure of getting a personal styling from owners, Gina and Taya, along with a little make-up session with Gina too! It all was pure bliss, ladies! Here's our photo recap of the spring outfits picked out by Gina and Taya especially for our body types. Enjoy and let us know what you think!

We arrived in our normal mama attire. You know the look, ladies.

Gina started with getting us in her make-up chair for a little pop of color. Neither of us wear make-up in our day to day mama duties, so this was definitely a treat! The cool part is that Gina offers this service all the time! Ladies come to see her before photo sessions, parties or galas to have their make-up done professionally.

Once we were gussied up the camera started clicking away to document our styling adventure. As you can see by our facial expressions, we weren't quite sure yet on this new style journey. We were feeling a little out of our element. We went in with each commenting on things that bother us when looking for clothes. Gina and Taya proved to us that we could address those concerns and look awesome doing it!

Round 1 outfits! For me, Gina and Taya picked a dress with a higher bust line to draw the eyes up and create a flattering waistline. On Ashley, they accented her height while providing a little bit of camouflage for her new mama tummy.

Doesn't Ashley look so cute in this hat!!! I have to say I haven't been in a shorter dress in years. It felt good to try something new!

Round 2 outfits! Gina and Taya picked this one for Ashley because by keeping the single color underneath it gives a thinner overall appearance and camouflages any leftover baby weight, but also keeps in style with the flowy boho chic. For me they picked the black monochromatic on top and bottom because it flatters on anybody and then you can add brightness on top such as the cute kimono I'm modeling. Perfect for a pop of spring color.

We both loved the corals in these picks! Very spring indeed!

Round 3 outfits. For Ashley, Gina and Taya used the single color and elongating trick again, but with a super cute boho chic top with fringe and shear elements. It could even double as bathing suit cover up! On me, they proved to me that fuller figure women can definitely do bold pops of color and still look great. They are absolutely right. I definitely wear too much black and gray. In this outfit, I still have my go-to black pants on the bottom but an awesome top with lots of great color!

Ashley looks awesome in this one! Like she's ready for a date night out. I fell in love with the light weight spring poncho and made it mine!

We had so much fun with Gina and Taya and learned so much too about dressing for our body type, being comfortable and feeling beautiful in your own skin! We love that they are on Main Street Fortville! Definitely a go-to shop for us for every season!

Stop in and see them this spring! Their hours are Wednesday through Saturday 11a.m. until 7p.m. Makes sure to follow them on Facebook as well. They are super good about posting updates on store hours, new pieces and fun special events!
