Wandering Wednesday | Our Top 3 Summer 2016 Date Night Ideas

As much as the Fortville Mamas like hanging out with our kiddos and embarking on family fun all over Central Indiana, we also enjoy a date night out every now and again.

We don't get out as often as we'd like for kid free evenings with our awesome husbands, but when we do, these are our favorite summer places to hang out, relax and recharge. Why not give one or ALL a try this summer?

Top 3 Indy Date Night Ideas

  1. Fox Gardin Kitchen and Ale in #fabFortville. One of our favorite new additions to Fortville! An amazing gastro pub with lots of local flair from the food, to the beer to the reclaimed wood tables. Monday nights are open mike night and you're sure to enjoy some great music. Make sure to try out their new outdoor seating with a gorgeous view of quaint Main Street Fortville. Mark your calendar for June 18th for their anniversary party. There will be an outdoor stage with a bar and grill out back as well. We suggest using open table for a reservation. All of Central Indiana is on to the fact this place is AWESOME!
Our summer menu picks include the balsamic grilled cheese & cafeteria chips.
Don't forget Jane's famous Key Lime pie to cap your evening off.
  2. Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation's Monon Mixers. Okay peeps, get this... an evening at The Waterpark at the Monon with no kids. Yep, absolutely no kids. No one saying...mom, MOM, mom...MOM! It's dreamy. Float the lazy river, try out the flow rider, chill in the pool, have a glass of wine, whatever your little heart desires. Oh and there are food trucks, local wine and local beers on site too. Yummo! The next one is Thursday June 16th 8-10:30p.m. Will we see you there? Coach Man is pumped. He missed last year's and just had to hear about all the fun.
Cool cats of IndyHomeschool chilling in the lazy river during a Monon Mixer.
  3. Mallow Run Winery Picnic Concerts. What's better than listening to music, sipping a beverage and enjoying good food under the stars? We're marking our calendar for Saturday June 18th! The Texas Tenors and the Carmel Symphony Orchestra will be there, plus food trucks and a fireworks finale! Busy June 18th? Don't worry there are numerous Mallow Run events over the course of the summer. Check them out here.
